The official trailer for Disney Pixar’s latest nature-driven outing The Good Dinosaur has been released today, here is the supporting description of the movie:
The Good Dinosaur asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.
Could Pixar have two hits in one year following the tremendous critical and commercial success of Inside Out last month? The studio doesn’t appear to be holding back in the emotional stakes, the trailer alone is jam-packed full of heart-tugging interplay between the loveable rounded dino and his miniature caveman counterpart. I’m thinking that this movie could potentially have us all blubbering in equal proportions to the Jesse “When She Loved Me” scene in Toy Story 2.
Then there are the stunning visuals with its cutely animated characters set against a highly realistic backdrop. Question: Is it normal for dancing fireflies to give you goosebumps? Simply magical.
The supporting track for the trailer “Crystals”, courtesy Of Monsters and Men, is an excellent choice. I already have all of the feels… and I’m preparing my bank balance for the related merchandise (soundtrack included).
The Good Dinosaur is going to be roaring into cinemas on 25th November, so make sure that you’re stocked up on tissues before then, as I’m pretty sure that it’s going to be a tearjerker!
Are you ready to be taken on a prehistoric emotional journey?
